Career

Before setting up Phoenix Alchemy Limited in 2009, Peter was a partner and director in an organisation development consultancy business called Sheppard Moscow. Peter joined Sheppard Moscow in 2004 and while with them his work spanned the following areas:

  • executive coaching and organisational consulting on developing a coaching culture
  • facilitation of strategy development, business planning and team building
  • leadership development
  • influencing skills, negotiating skills, consulting and facilitation

As well as working across Ireland, carrying out this work brought Peter to the UK, Spain, Greece and North America. While working with Sheppard Moscow, Peter’s most satisfying moments typically came when, through acts of courage, openness and authenticity, clients experienced breakthough insights that were really important to them. What’s more, this type of learning tends to inspire everyone involved.

Prior to joining Sheppard Moscow, Peter worked in the Irish Electricity Supply Board (ESB) which he joined from college. Having started his career in engineering, his last 8 years in the company comprised a number of senior HR and change management roles. In his final role in the company, he was the Change Programme Implementation Manager for the ESB Group. In successfully delivering on the company-wide change programme targets, his approach to this role was based on the quality of the relationships that he developed with the senior managers across the organisation, the union officials and the Government Department officials.
